Guided Mokai Fishing Tours

Full Day – 9 hours | 2 person minimum

Operate your own Mokai – motorized kayak – through various creeks and rivers where five species of salmon spawn. Your knowledgeable guide will demonstrate the operation of the watercraft, and lead the way up stream taking you away from the rest of the fishing crowds.

Trip includes: Mokai watercraft, life jackets, spin fishing equipment (fly fishing if preferred) and tackle, hip waders, & lunch and dinner. We provide transportation to and from your accommodations in the Talkeetna area, McKinley Princess Lodge included.

Fishing License and Gratuity not included. *On Full Day Tours: If the fish caught are within the correct season and regulation we will cook it for dinner that night!*

Guided Mokai Scenic Trips

Operate your own Mokai – motorized kayak – through various creeks and rivers and experience Talkeetna from the water! Your knowledgeable guide will demonstrate the operation and safety of the watercraft, and take you up stream to experience the wilderness of Talkeetna at your own pace!

Trip includes: Mokai watercraft, life jackets, spin/fly fishing equipment and tackle, hip waders, and lunch. We provide transportation to and from your accommodations in the Talkeetna area, McKinley Princess Lodge included.

Guided fishing trip prices do NOT include:  Rain gear (good idea to bring it!), sun glasses, alcoholic beverages; Alaska fishing license (can be purchased from the guide or from different local businesses around town) or gratuity for the guides. Please bring: Warm clothes, sunglasses, cameras, rain gear if it is raining, fishing license (best if you buy your license the day BEFORE your trip, especially for King Salmon fishing). Bottled water will be available on all trips. Processing and Shipping your catch: Your guide can fillet, bag, and freeze your fish for you. You can also pay a local service to smoke, flash freeze, vacuum pack, and/or ship your catch home.
